Does anyone actually know how to drive?

This is an easy rant – have you seen how people drive nowadays??

Seriously people, trying to get somewhere by cutting me up, undertaking or going a million miles down the fast lane is just going to get yourself and others hurt, then you’ll be in hospital for weeks or dead and will be just a touch later to where you were going than if you had slowed down a bit – got it!

Or how about people tailgating you? White vans… if you tailgate me I’m just making sure I have a lorry to my left then I’m slowing the hell down – let’s see how far your tailgating gets you then… Of course you do have to watch out for road rage, people seem to be totally different animals on the road, I’ve seen perfectly placid individuals turn into snarling monsters on the roads – why??

I admit I used to get wound up a lot by all the crappy driving going on, and traffic jams were a total nightmare, but I find that putting on some learning CDs in the car works wonders. Seriously. The tempo of the music in your car is supposed to affect how you drive, plus when I am stuck in a traffic jam then instead of wasting that time I can be learning. Sad I know but hey while you’re beeping at the guy in front and about 10 seconds away from having a coronary, then I’m as relaxed as a carrot (ever seem a stressed carrot?) and learning new stuff too.

I think it should be mandatory so everyone calms down on the roads, or just make me into a traffic cop so I can bust everyone who annoys me

Actually I’m just going to get a big truck with bull bars on the front, that way if any idiot causes me to crash into them at least I’m not getting hurt!
