Annoying adverts…

Don’t you just hate annoying adverts…

And I don’t just mean any adverts, I mean the ones which sponsor certain programmes, like LG sponsoring Scrubs and Kia sponsoring CSI. I don’t mind if they have a normal non-annoying ad that appears before and after every segment, but if they put on cheesy music or annoying tyre squealing (the old kia ad) then that just gets on my nerves every single time the show I am watching has to go for a break.

In fact the LG ad is so annoying I now have to make sure I am into the show before I press play again (I tend to record shows now so I can skip the annoying ads!) just so I don’t accidentally catch some of the mind-numbing, soul destroying LG ads which repeat over and over… it has this annoying guy singing in a high-pitched voice and trying to be funny… seriously LG, is someone singing in an annoying voice really going to get me to buy?

I know what you’re thinking though, I did remember the brand name of that and the Kia, so yes that worked, but it just means I remember who I hate! If there was a points scale from 1 – 10 of my likelyhood to buy then those adverts dropped my likelyhood by about 5 points down the scale, I mean everytime I see their products I’m just going to think of the annoying ad, get angry and then am I likely to buy? No!

Seriously, ad people and big companies, make fun, interesting ads, annoying ads = annoyed viewer and less chance I will buy, end of story.
